About GPS IGNITE

GPS IGNITE is an organization-wide innovation program for GPS Renewables employees, running 21 July – 10 September 2026 across three stages. Phase 1 focuses on problem discovery and ideation — finding the operational challenges and opportunities hiding in plain sight across every department, and pairing them with the people who can help solve them.

You don't need to be technical to take part. If you understand a business problem, that's enough to start. Technical solutions come later, through collaboration with colleagues from other functions.

    Announce & Open Submissions

    Submit business challenges, pain points, or ideas through the portal.

    31 Jul – 9 Aug

    Team Formation & Collaboration

    Published problems go live. Browse, connect, form teams of 1–5, and develop proposals.

    10 – 15 Aug

    Evaluation & Shortlisting

    The panel scores proposals against the weighted criteria and announces the shortlist.

    16 Aug – 9 Sep

    Phase 2 — Build Sprints

    Shortlisted teams build prototypes, PoCs, or business cases with CSL mentors.

  5. 5
    10 Sep

    Grand Finale & Awards

    Teams demo to the panel and leadership. Final judging and program-wide awards.

From Idea to Deployment

Every problem you submit is the first step of a full development lifecycle — from ideation through build and testing, out to deployment at site. GPS IGNITE opens that journey to every employee.

V-model development lifecycle: Ideation side (Requirements/MRD, System Design, Technical/Scientific Design, Module Design) down to Development and Testing, and up the Deployment side (Lab scale/Unit Test, Integration at Site, Scale up Test, Repeatability Test/Acceptance)

Awards are decided at the Grand Finale after Phase 2, based on the built solutions — independent of which teams progressed.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Open to all employees — HODs, managers, and individual contributors alike.
  • Log in with your official company email via SSO to submit.
  • Multiple teams may work on the same problem statement with different approaches.
  • AI tools, no-code platforms, and design-thinking methods are all encouraged.
  • No working software or prototype is expected in Phase 1 — focus on the proposal.
